New Year New Me

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yes, I know it’s March and the new year started 2 months ago. I’m a little late with this New Year’s post, and I wanted to take the time to update you on my life. It’s been a hectic couple of months. I’ve completely neglected my blog. It isn’t because I didn’t want to take the time to write anything, I just haven’t had the time.

Catch-up Time

I started my final semester of undergrad in January. I had all these plans to do a monthly theme with my posts and I wanted to post a new piece once a week. However, you can see how well that’s going. Shortly after starting back at school, I was diagnosed with anxiety. I’m not going to go into details, that’s a story for another day, but it has definitely affected my life. I’m working through it and hopefully I will be able to control it without medications (always a plus).

Between January and February I finished my PharmCAS application for pharmacy school. I got my transcripts sent in for verification and waited patiently to hear back from the school I had applied to. I received and invitation to interview. That interview happened a couple weeks ago and within the week I found out I was accepted! You are now reading the blog of a future pharmacy school student.

Before the interview, as in the Sunday before, I was in a minor car accident. It was a fender bender and was my first ever accident. It was such a stressful week to begin with and that didn’t exactly help my situation at all.

Going Forward

Going through the interview process was especially stressful. While trying to prepare for what was ahead I decided to look to see if there were any bloggers out there who have gone through the experience before. I was surprised that there were relatively few blogs out there. So, one goal I’m going to have going forward is to make a whole section for pre-professional students and what I experienced. (These posts can be found here!)

Something else I’m excited to do is to begin sharing my faith with everyone. I’m not talking about putting anyone down because they don’t believe the same thing I do. I’m not even trying to convert anyone into having the same beliefs as me. I just want this world to be a happier place to live. We only have one life here on Earth, so why make it miserable with all the tragedies? Yes, I’ll probably reference the Bible, but I hope it’ll be in a way that will still encourage you to be the best you can be. (These posts can be found here!)

I’m going to try to post at least twice a month, although being a student definitely comes with its own boundaries of time and mental capacity sometimes. This blog gives me the opportunity to be myself fully and I hope it’ll encourage at least one person to do the same.
